There are so many social problems confronting the world today. One of such problems that has catch my attention to deal with this is the “poverty driven life of children”
The project is supposed to be conducted in town called ayeduase in Ashanti region of Ghana. The target population from which the sample will be taken is the children and the adult spouses.

“What is actually the human right struggle that we witness?” it is the instinctive struggle of all people toward liberty and freedom.

It is at the edge of this background that has prompted our desire to combat child labor and slavery. This is because it is a violation of human right and a crime against humanity.

What then is child right? It is the privileges enjoyed by children below age 18 as a citizen of a particular country. Here, is the case that these privileges like the right to education and well-being, the right to social activity, protection from exploitative labor, torture and degrading treatment are being curtailed.

However, these rights which are supposed to be enjoyed by children are being relegated to the background. It is surprising that its violation is welcomed in some parts of the world.

In fact, poverty is characterized by child labor and slavery. Though, it’s a universal phenomenon depending on the circumstances of the stakeholders. It can be found in the both the developed and the developing world. Here, with the developed world child labor and slavery are minor incidences unlike the developing world such as Africa where it is very rampant because of poverty and political instability. . With regards to child labor, children are being forced sometimes to sell goods to support their education with the notion that it will help ease the parent’s burden. For instance, in Ghana children are always standing by the road side to sell sachets water to consumers especially passengers. They normally run to and fro to chase passengers in cars who want to buy this sachet water to drink especially when there is traffic.

Admittedly nothing is simple; people suffer in the best of times, but it’s true that conscious efforts exerted to protect Child's right can help to reduce poverty in Africa and the world at large. This is so because children will no more be forced to engage in selling of goods on the street, serving as servants and maidservants in some people’s house and workplaces but will rather be in school.

By so doing education level of children and the nation will increase so as to secure job for them in the future, which will subsequently help reduce poverty in general. For instance, in some African countries such as Liberia, Sierra Leone, Uganda and else where children were recruited to joined rebel forces to engaged in war. This in fact, was totally against their wish and right but was forced to do so.

In order to promote sanity, equity, and liberty among human race, international agencies such UN, WHO, IHRC as well as governments across the world should put in place mechanism to protect human right. The NGO’s should be well-equipped to create awareness and advocate for human right protection.

At the nutshell, they should ensure that there is efficient and effective law and other arsenals to marshal the dream of children. Thus, being fully educated and well catered for.
